On 17th February 2010, the Group helped celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Ramblers' Association.
A series of walks around the country (known collectively as a "baton walk", because an official Ramblers' baton was carried), formed part of the celebrations, beginning in South West England in December 2009 and travelling through Wales, Scotland and the nine English regions before returning to the south-west.
Birmingham was chosen to launch the celebrations in the West Midlands, and our part of the walk began at the entrance to Summerfield Park in Ladywood and around the Edgbaston reservoir before progressing along the Harborne Walkway.
